
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health & Social Services reported 12 cases in Juneau, four cases in Sitka, and a case in Douglas on Sunday.
Anchorage continued to be a hot spot with 268 cases while Fairbanks added 37 cases, Eagle River 27, Wasilla 23, Soldotna 19, Kenai 15, Palmer 11, and Delta Junction nine cases.
There were six nonresident cases in the state.
Alaska has now had 26,587 total resident cases and 1,186 nonresident cases.
All regions of the state remained at high alert levels.
The state reported a new death Sunday, an Anchorage female in her 80s.
The state said 125 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 and 13 additional patients are considered persons under investigation for having the virus. 17 patients are on ventilators around Alaska.
There have been a total of 926,361 tests administered with 27,399 conducted in the past week. The average percentage of daily positive tests during that period is 8.74 percent.
