NEWS REPORTER in the award-winning News of the North newsroom.
A background in news is essential and other required skills are –
- The ability to think critically while managing in a fast-paced environment,
- To project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- To function in a team environment; and
- To work an established schedule and other hours as needed.
While experience in news gathering is essential, we can provide cross training in radio if your background is in print or television.
STATION MANAGER Ketchikan Radio Center (Min. 10 years radio experience)
This position is a hybrid position. We are looking for a self-motivated leader with management experience, salesmanship and knowledge of operations to grow our three stations in Ketchikan. “Alaska’s First City” is known for its fishing, beauty and its deep history in Alaska.
TRAFFIC DIRECTOR (Experience preferred but not mandatory)
Traffic Director is responsible for the input of client advertising contracts, managing logs, processing order revisions and entering new orders, as well as assisting with accounts receivable, payables and other administrative duties as assigned. Some social media experience is a plus.
OPERATIONS MANAGER (Min. 10 years radio experience)
PROGRAM DIRECTOR (Min. 15 years in radio with a minimum of 10 in programming)
DIGITAL SPECIALIST (Digital sales position)
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (5 years sales experience a plus)
GRAPHIC DESIGNER (Print, web and advertising design experience a plus)

National Historical Park's Visitor Center is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays for the rest of the winter. The trails are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Park film, Voices of Sitka, is shown at 11 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and Jr. Ranger books and badges are available.
