Sitka, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Sitka received a report on several new designs vying to be the new municipal seal.
More than a dozen submissions were received. The results were reviewed by Assembly on Aug. 25 and the Assembly provided direction to narrow down to the top five entries.
Feedback was provided to artists with the opportunity to modify entries.
The results were presented to the Assembly on Tuesday.
According to a staff report, rendering No. 5 has received the most positive feedback so far.
The proposed top choice is No. 5 as determined by consensus.
The Assembly will likely move to adopt a new seal at its Oct. 13 meeting.
