Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A diver has died in waters near Glacier Bay National Park.
Early Wednesday a diver died in the waters off the outer coast of Glacier Bay National Park, according to National Park Service officials.
The diver was working off a vessel operating under a research permit in Torch Bay, north of Cape Spencer.
The U.S. Coast Guard and NPS officials are conducting a joint investigation of the incident.
Information about the diver is not available pending notification of next of kin.
