    Alaska Seaplanes to launch service to Petersburg from Juneau

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska Seaplanes plans to fly two daily roundtrip flights between Juneau and Petersburg starting April 5.

    That's according to company general manager Carl Ramseth who says their turbine-powered aircraft Pilatus PC-12 and C-208 Grand Caravans will be used on the flights.  Both can carry up to nine passengers.

    The flight will take up to 55 minutes. Flights will leave Juneau at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with return departures from Petersburg at 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

    Fares between Juneau and Petersburg will start at $199 one way.
