Triem identifies budget as biggest issue for Assembly

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Assemblymember Carole Triem said on Action Line that she thinks the Assembly's biggest issue to tackle is the budget.

    The tackling of that issue starts Saturday with a four hour Finance Committee meeting, so Triem said they are hitting the ground running.

    "This is going to be a more difficult year to come up with a balanced budget, so it's probably a very good thing that we're starting early."

     Typically budget work doesn't start up until March.  Saturday's Assembly Finance Committee meeting convenes at 9 a.m. in Assembly Chambers at City Hall.
